But if you want to have a Leatherman wave multi tool, it’s just easy.
Only visit the internet site that provides online store of Leatherman multi tool.
Like here for example:

The difference between Victorinox and Leatherman are this multiple function tool is essentially a pair of pliers with other tools stored in the handles, and generally includes a knife, pliers, screwdriver and assorted other devices. Some tools from Leatherman have as many as 20 tools and weigh up to 12.5 ounces (354 g)
Meanwhile, Victorinox has a more simple design and mysterious, because all the equipment that is stored neatly in the main body.

These are generally chosen for the following qualities:

  • Compact and light (suitable to wear in a belt holster in some applications)
  • Constructed as a single piece with various moving parts, so one component is not lost while using another (except for the New Wave, Surge, and all Charge models, Skeletool and Skeletool CX which all have two-sided removable screwdriver bits)
  • When collapsed for storage, relatively smooth and blunt compared to the equivalent discrete tools, thus reducing frequency of damage to items stored along with it.

Most models of the Leatherman brand have a built-in safety mechanism that locks selected tools in the open position when fully unfolded. Different models have various methods for unlocking the tools. In older models that use “clumping” locks, one of the other tools has to be partly unfolded to release the first one; if all the tools of this model were to be fully unfolded simultaneously, then an external tool might be needed to unlock them.

In 1998, Leatherman used its first button lock on the Crunch tool, allowing each tool to be refolded. In 1999, Leatherman began using liner locks on the blades of the Wave tool, which allowed it to be accessed without unfolding the entire tool.

The Leatherman Tool Group was founded by Timothy S. Leatherman, a 1970 graduate of Oregon State University who majored in mechanical engineering. According to a December 10, 1981 column written by Bill Monroe in The Oregonian, Leatherman came up with the idea of a “Boy Scout tool with pliers” during a 1975 driving tour of Europe with his wife, when he was unable to use his pocket knife to fix his repeatedly malfunctioning car.

Victorinox

History

Victorinox is a tools manufacturer head quartered in the town of Ibach, in the Canton of Schwyz, Switzerland

The company was founded in 1884. Since 1891 the company has delivered knives to the Swiss army. In 1921, with the introduction of “inox” (the French term for stainless steel is acier inoxydable) into their products, the brand and name of the company became the present “Victorinox” (”Victoria”+”Inox”).

On 26 April 2005 Victorinox acquired Wenger, the other official supplier of the Swiss Army .

In 1891, Karl Elsener, then owner of a company that made surgical equipment, discovered to his dismay that the pocket multi tool supplied to the Swiss army were in fact made in Solingen (Germany). In that age of nationalism, Elsener set out to manufacture the tools in Switzerland itself.

Elsener began working on what became the predecessor to the modern Swiss Army knife. This multiple function tool was sold to the Swiss army, but Elsener was not satisfied with its first incarnation. Karl Elsener used the cross and shield to identify his knives, the symbol still used today on Victorinox-branded versions. When his mother died in 1909, Elsener decided to name his company “Victoria” in her memory.

The “SAK” gained international fame when U.S. Army Soldiers returning from Europe after service in World War II brought back red multi-tool they had taken from German prisoners of war. German army officers were not issued these items from the Wehrmacht but bought these Swiss-multiple function tool privately along with the silver cross on red background.

Victorinox and Wenger

Elsener, through his company Victorinox, managed to corner the market until 1893, when the second industrial cutler of Switzerland, Paul Boechat & Cie, headquartered in Delémont in the French-speaking region of Jura, started selling a similar product.

This company was later acquired by its then General Manager, Theodore Wenger, and renamed the Wenger Company. By mutual agreement, Wenger advertises as the Genuine “SAK” and Victorinox uses the slogan the Original “SAK”.

However, on April 26, 2005, Victorinox acquired Wenger, thus once again becoming the sole supplier to the Swiss Army. In 2006, Wenger produced a multi tool with 85 devices and 110 functions to commemorate Wenger’s 100th anniversary in the Swiss Army multi function tool business.

This Multitool increasingly popular for commond people in the era Mac Gyver television serial.

The most part I use is  can opener and screwdriver.
We will never know when we will need, because the knife is a multi-function can be owned by anyone as long as the goal for the good.

Even in the most types of equipment than the standard required, such as knife, screwdriver, saw, pliers, ruler, magnifying glass, and even provide a toothpick? Weird …

Are you interested to have it ….
In addition to ourselves, this type of tool is also very good if used for prizes. As a multi-function I think you love that person (usually men) are like this gift knife. Like me for example …
