Power screwdrivers are a great solution for these issues.

In line power screwdrivers are designed for basic household projects. For heavy duty projects, consider using a drywall screwdriver.

Select a power screwdriver that fits well in your hand.

Different power screwdrivers have varying amounts of torque power and speeds. Take some time to review what each power screwdriver is recommended for. Compare that to the projects you are likely to undertake with the power screwdriver.

It is good idea to keep your power screwdriver fully charged. Some people choose to purchase a second battery separately so that they can have one charging and one in the power screwdriver.

For those of you who intend to use your power screwdriver regularly, consider purchasing a power screwdriver kit. Inside you will find the power screwdriver and a slot for each accessory.

It will also include a power cord. Some of the power screwdriver kits also include an extra battery as well as a charger that plugs into your cigarette lighter. While using a power screwdriver, remember the driving force behind it.

Cordless Screwdrivers

Cordless screwdrivers can be a great asset for crafters, do-it-yourselfers, woodworkers or handymen. A cordless screwdriver is a screwdriver that is powered by rechargeable batteries rather than an electrical cord. Unlike regular non-powered screwdrivers, a cordless screwdriver does not have to be manually twisted or turned.

Cordless screwdrivers come with interchangeable bits so you can tackle a variety of jobs. The standard bits included with a cordless screwdriver usually include a flat bit, a Phillips head bit and various socket attachments. Because a cordless screwdriver has power, it creates more torque than standard screwdrivers.

The additional torque for a cordless screwdriver can also allow you to remove screws that are damaged or rusty. Often times these screws are impossible to remove with a standard screwdriver, but the additional power provided by the cordless screwdriver can help to remove them with ease.

Unlike drills, cordless screwdrivers are very compact and lightweight. When buying a cordless screwdriver it is generally a good idea to buy a well known name brand rather than a generic screwdriver. What is the cordless screwdriver ?

The Cordless Revolution

Executive Summary about : Cordless Screwdriver  by Paul Disley

While a lot of this is down to personal preference there are a few factors that are consistent when selecting the correct tool, particularly cordless tools. Heavy tools in conjunction with overreaching or working on platforms or ladders can also be exceptionally dangerous and could lead to serious falls or accidents.

In April of 2006 a worker in France won an astounding 25,000 Euros from his employer after loses the use of fingers in his right hand as a result of vibrating tools. Cordless drills are now standard across work sites for their ease of use and of course their portability.

The higher rating of battery power leads to an increase in the running temperature and the risk of fire or even explosion when the core operating temperature of the battery runs out of control and chemical reaction is such that the products alights or worse explodes.

Of course, the cordless tool revolution brings about many changes that are positive and amongst others the portability of tools allows them to be used in situations where it was previously impossible or completely impractical.
